“You know the story, but people can’t get enough of them, like little children. Because, well, they connect the stories to themselves…”
- Englishman, The Mortal Remains
The summer is in full swing, kids are home and almost every night since mid-June I can sit on my front porch and watch the crazy teenagers across the road light fireworks. Which reminds me, I need to walk my front lawn and look for spent firework casings before I mow again…
With July rolling up quickly, it’s time for us to get serious about our Fall plans. July will have our second convention of 2026; the Karvar Kon in Newark, Ohio. This show takes place in my hometown on the July 11 and it looks to be one of the larger ones Central Ohio has seen in a while. If you are in the central Ohio area, come say ”Hi!” and check out the amazing work these creators have put together. You won’t be disappointed.
I have also been on a handful of podcasts lately. Check them out to hear more about the behind-the-scenes stuff of making a toy line.
🚀 Production
As a reminder - this Fall is going to be huge for Kaleo Legends. We will be launching preorders in September and those will be open through the end of December. We are also going to be on the convention tour and will even be clear out in Spokane in October at the Be Bold 4 Jesus Conference.
7” Figures
There isn’t much to share here at the moment. We are still in the process of getting quotes from factories, feels like this back and forth takes forever.
Mini-figures
This is a new thing we have kicked around recently. Knowing the production timeline will be long between preorders and release, we have toyed with the idea of doing a short run of vinyl figures or mini versions of the current characters. We have them designed, but haven’t figured out yet how to get these produced without stretching ourselves too thin. More on this as we keep digging.
Design
Just as a teaser, I have concept designs and orthographic drawings of two new Elohim characters - Elijah/Sandalphon and Asa’el. Elijah will be a character we put into production at some point down the road, possibly for book 2, but Asa’el we have another plans for. Asa’el will be the Elohim you encounter when visiting our online store as well as the one that oversees our newsletters. He will have his own lore page along with the others and trust that he will end being someone’s favorite along the way.
Stay tuned for more updates on conventions and when/where you can meet us!
📜 Lore
This is a new section we are trying out. With preorders starting in September, we wanted to start sharing the story behind the different characters. We will drop lore in the newsletter and then follow that up with a fuller picture of the character and their lore on our website under the Chronicle of the Elohim section (coming soon). Let us know what you think!

I am Enoch, son of Jared, and he who became the Eyes of Shamayim. As my journey in the mortal world came to an end, I had found favor with the Creator. As I sat by the fire outside my home, as was my custom, I was approached by one that looked like a son of man. He beckoned me, “Come.” and in a moment I was taken to the realm of celestial beings, never to taste mortal death. There, I was shown the Earth as it was before Adam and then what it had become.
I was shown the wars that happened between Elohim and men and their unclean offspring; I observed the wars in both the seen and unseen realms and the devastation they left behind.I was then taken to a place of pure light and stood before the Creator. In that place, I became the Metatron, I was transformed into the divine All-Seer. The Creator gave me sight to behold all of creation and was tasked to chronicle the words and deeds of Elohim and man, both done in plain sight and under darkness of night, to ensure nothing escaped the divine record.
Even with the eyes that see into the highest of heavens and to the depths of Sheol, the Creator did not permit me to see the world to come. That remains beyond my vision and reserved for the Triune…

I had the privilege of talking with Zach a few days ago and I have to say, he is a good dude. With a background in children’s ministry, he has hit his stride designing and creating content for kids in an art style that they will enjoy.
Check out his work either on Instagram or his website, you will not be disappointed.
And just as an aside…Zach and I are brainstorming ways to do a collab piece. We don’t know what shape that will take, but it’s going to be tons of fun and gospel oriented. Stay tuned for that announcement in the coming months
